The iconic Naples Pier is the most-visited attraction in downtown Naples.

The iconic Naples Pier is the most-visited attraction in downtown Naples. Stretching 1,000 feet into the Gulf of Mexico, the pier’s westerly view makes it the perfect spot to view the spectacular nightly sunset. It’s also a great spot to watch pelicans and other birds dive for their dinner and dolphins frolic.

If you haven’t visited recently, you’ll be happy to know that the pier recently had a $2.7 million rehab to replace its aging planks and renovate the restrooms. Tourism development funds were used for the majority of the restoration work.

The pier is free to enter, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and the City of Naples provides a blanket fishing license, so even if you don’t have a Florida fishing license you can wet a line from the pier. There’s a concession stand that sells pizza, snacks, and bait. If you want to fish, bring your own fishing rod and reel and you’re good to go.

Millions of people the world over have special memories of magical moments at the Naples Pier going back for generations. Make sure that you make time to create your own special moments and memories on your next visit.
