The season of Lent is upon us and that means everyone is thinking fish, especially on Fridays. Jeff Mitchell, owner-chef of The Local, the popular farm and sea-to-table restaurant in Naples, will serve up fresh sustainable Florida fish entrées for $15 during the entire 46 days of Lent from Wednesday, March 1 (Ash Wednesday) through Holy Saturday (April 15), the day before Easter.

Whether you are an observer of Lent or just a fan of fresh fish, Chef Jeff encourages diners to take advantage of the limited time offer and enjoy a fresh Florida fish entrée. Lenten fish specials, available for dinner only, will change daily depending upon availability, but typical fresh sustainable Florida fish harvested during this time of year include triggerfish, amberjack, margate, grouper, snapper and golden tilefish. * Dinner patrons will be presented nightly with a Chef’s Recommendation based upon the day’s fresh catch, or patrons may choose to sauté or grill fish accompanied by two side dishes or enjoy as a salad atop organic mixed greens, or in fish tacos.
