Taxis, limos, and ride share services are highly recommended instead of driving and parking at beach areas. **PARKING STATEMENT: Naples Police and Emergency Services would like to remind the public that parking enforcement will take place in marked “No Parking” areas with close attention given to blocked intersections and fire hydrants. Violator’s vehicles are subject to towing and impoundment. Everyone is encouraged to use the public parking in the Third Street South area and to respect other’s property and not block driveways or park on private property without the owner’s consent. Parking meters are enforced daily between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and no parking after 11:00 p.m. is allowed at the beach ends.

Start the New Year off in style along 5th Avenue South in downtown Naples at this well-established art festival. Augmenting the number of participating artists, available art and ambiance of the event on Saturday is Art in the Park. Art in the Park is an art fair held on Park Street by Naples Art Association members on the first Saturday of each month between November and April. The Naples New Year’s Art Show offers residents and visitors with an alternative to football and a place to walk off calories from holiday overeating. Shoppers will have the opportunity to mingle with 254 professional artists from around the country in categories ranging from original oils and acrylics on canvas to watercolors, 2D and 3D mixed media, limited edition prints, photography, digital art, sculpture, wood carvings, ceramics, hand-crafted jewelry, leather works and more. Pre-race packet pick up will be Friday, January 26 from 10 am - 4 pm at the main shelter on Airport-Pulling Road. Day of race packet pick up will begin at 7 am on Saturday, January 27 at the Civil Air Patrol Building at Naples Municipal Airport. Race begins at 8 a.m. Pets are welcome to participate with their Guardians, but must be leashed (non-retractable leash), up-to-date with vaccinations and cannot interfere with other participants or pets. Please only bring pets that are accustomed to this distance (3.1 miles). T-shirts to the first 1,000 participants to register. All participants are asked to line up according to pace (minute/mile). Finish times and awards will be based on chip time, so your net finish will count! Awards will be given to overall male & female and top 3 each age group (male & female): 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & greater, and weight category for dogs. Finish line timing will continue for at least one hour and twenty minutes-results will be tallied as soon as possible.

The Naples Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America is proud to announce the 14th Annual ‘Cars on 5th’show in Naples. Set for Saturday February 10th, 2018, on Fifth Avenue South. The ‘Cars on 5th’ show is also about helping the community and giving to those in need. Donations from the attendees and individual contributions to our featured charities have raised over $850,000 over the past 13 years. The 2018 14th Annual Cars on 5th will benefit our featured Naples charity, St. Matthews House, which gathers contributions of food and clothing, the proceeds from which help operate food pantries and shelters to care for the homeless and hungry of our community. Structured recovery programs are also undertaken. 2018 will have over 125 Ferraris will be on display with a fine mix of vintage and current V-8s and V-12s from Maranello that are guaranteed to please the crowds. We expect to have several new 488GTBs and Spiders on display too! The British contingent will include Jaguar, Lotus, Triumph and the stately Bentleys. Porsches will be plentiful including some rare race cars. American cars will not be overshadowed, with over 60 Corvettes and other muscle cars expected. The Mercato section of the show will be bigger than ever with a multitude of businesses. Artists, jewelers, and automotive services, and accessory suppliers will be on hand to serve the thousands of potential clients at the show. To conclude the show all car owners will start their cars at 4 PM sharp for a resounding Drive-Off by over 575 cars. It is a fitting send off for what is to be another successful ‘Cars on 5th’ here in Naples Florida.

The Kids’ Fishing Clinic at Naples Pier is a one-day educational event conducted by the Marine Industries Association of Collier County Foundation with the help of the Outreach and Education (O&E) Subsection of the Division of Marine Fisheries Management, part of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). The primary goal of this program is to create responsible marine resource stewards by teaching children the vulnerability of Florida’s marine ecosystems and ethical angling skills. The Clinic also teach fundamental saltwater fishing knowledge and skills while promoting a positive fishing experience. Kids age 5 to 15 are welcome. All receive a free rod and reel until supplies run out.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade is March 17 on Fifth Avenue South starting at 11:00 AM. A little over 40 years ago a group of fun-loving Neapolitans got together and decided to have a parade to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Through the hard work of many volunteers and the generous support of patrons like you, the Parade has prospered in the decades since. The Parade is now the largest privately-funded Parade in the state. It draws over 40,000 people to downtown Naples each year to celebrate Irish heritage and Irish culture in America. The Foundation has donated over $200,000 to local high school bands and scholarships in the last five years.

Forty years ago a group of fun-loving Neapolitan’s got together and decided to have a parade to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Through the hard work of many volunteers and the generous support of patrons, the parade has prospered in the decades since. It is now the largest privately-funded Parade in the state. It draws over 40,000 people to downtown Naples each year to celebrate Irish heritage and Irish culture in America. The parade is sponsored by the the Naples St. Patrick foundation, a non-profit charitable organization. You can start the day at The Dock at Crayton Cove at 9:30 a.m. with the traditional St. Patrick's Day Parade Flag Raising Ceremony. Parade Route: The parade will start on 10th Avenue South, go north on 3rd Street South to Fifth Avenue South, then east to 8th Street South. Parking: The city suggests parking in the two downtown parking garages. Plan to arrive early. Road closures: 5th Avenue South will be closed 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 3rd Avenue will be closed 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

4th of July Fireworks at Naples Beach
A wonderful Naples tradition on July 4th! After the sun sets, the annual firework display from the water near Naples Pier will start. Grab a spot anywhere along the beaches of Naples or from the pier and enjoy this half-hour of magic! Several Naples sightseeing boats offer cruises to watch the fireworks from the Gulf of Mexico. For a spot on board, remember to reserve in advance. The City of Naples “4th of July Fireworks” fire off at 9:00 p.m. from a barge approximately 1,000 feet north of the Naples Pier. The presentation will feature a 25 minute display with special effects musically choreographed to patriotic selections that will be simulcast on radio station WAVV 101.1 FM., be sure to bring your radio and tune in to the patriotic simulcast! Naples residents are invited to bring chairs and/or blankets and pick a spot along the City beach from Lowdermilk Park to south of the Pier for the best viewing spots in town, as the fireworks can be seen all along the Naples beach. Personal use of sparklers, Chinese lanterns, or any fireworks is prohibited per City ordinance. PARKING: The Naples Police Department would like to remind the public that strict parking enforcement will take place in marked “No Parking” areas with close attention given to the entire length of Gulf Shore Blvd, blocked intersections, and fire hydrants. Be Advised: There will be NO PARKING allowed on either side of Gulf Shore Boulevard between 20th Avenue South and 8th Avenue North (Golf Drive). VEHICLES WILL BE TOWED! Please advise friends and visitors. Carpooling will help alleviate excess traffic in the area. Persons are encouraged to use public parking in the downtown areas and to respect other’s property and not block driveways or park on private property without the owner’s consent. Fourth Avenue South will be a designated disabled parking beach end for those with proper disabled parking permits. Parking meters are enforced daily between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and no parking after 11:00 p.m. is allowed at the beach ends. Officers will direct traffic at most of the intersections. Please do not use the alleys, as this bottlenecks traffic, slowing everyone down.
